Jami Lei’s walk had taken her past the construction site they had passed earlier in the day. As she walked past one of the construction workers let out a wolf whistle. Jami Lei, stopped, turned to look at him and asked, “And what was that supposed to mean.”

“Sorry Ma’am,” one of the young men said, “We are construction workers. When a beautiful female walks past, we are expected to whistle.”

“To me that seems like a waste of time, I feel sure that is not what you get paid for,” commented Jamie Lei.

The young man continued, “You are not from this area are you? You have a southern drawl.”

“Actually my father and I are here from Georgia. He came on a business trip, and invited me to accompany him,” Jamie Lei said with pride.

One of the other young construction workers said, “Oh a real southern peach. You certainly grew a nice pair of them, too.”

Flustered, Jami Lei replied, “Piggy, piggy, who let you out of your sty?” and holding her head high, walked away proudly.
